7th Grade U.S. History
My 7th grade classes will take Quiz #3 (U.S. Constitution) on Wednesday, Dec 3. This quiz will come from Article I (Legislative Branch) found in the U.S. Constitution.
8th Grade Geography
My Geography classes will be working with Latitude-Longitude lines after Thanksgiving break is over.

7th Grade U.S. History
The 7th graders are just beginning Chapter 8 which deals with the Articles of Confederation & the U.S. Constitution. The 7th graders are expected to pass the U.S. Constitution this year and we are at least 3 weeks away from taking it. The students will take 5 quizzes before they take the U.S. Constitution test. If they know the information on the quizzes - they will do well on the test.

There will be a map test on Nov. 19, 2008 dealing with the 25 Largest U.S. Cities. This will be the last test before progress reports go out on the 21st.
The 8th graders will begin (Nov. 17) working on U.S. time zones, World time zones & the International Date Line. This will be completed before Thanksgiving break.

8th Grade Geography
The students did great on their IL Constitution test this past week. The grades ranged from an A+ - C.
The students are in the process of recalling their (U.S.) state & capitals, state abbreviations & state locations. The state location test will be on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008. Any student who can name them all in review on Tuesday will not have to take the test the next day.

8TH GRADE GEOGRAPHY
5th & 8th hour - Quiz #5 IL Government will be on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
4th hour will have their quiz on the 9th of Oct.
IL GOVERNMENT TEST
5th & 8th hours will be on Oct 16 - 17 (They have study guides that will help them. This test is worth double points since we have spent the last month on IL Government.) STUDY! STUDY!
4th hour will take their test on Oct. 17 or Oct 20

U. S. History
The 7th graders will be taking their first test tomorrow in my class. The test covers Ch. 3 in their book. All students have a study guide that will help them do well on the test as long as they learn what is on it.
Geography
Tomorrow (Sept. 26) my 5th & 8th hour Geography classes will take Quiz #3 - Illinois Government. They will have the chance to ace out of the quiz today in class.
My 4th hour Geography class will take Quiz #3 on Monday with the chance to ace out of it tomorrow in class.

8th Grade Geography
My 5th & 8th hour Geography classes will have Quiz #2 dealing with the IL Constitution on Friday, Sept. 19. The students who knew all of the answers today in review get a bye on the Quiz.
All students have a study guide for this quiz.
My 4th hour class is reviewing for their quiz tomorrow & will be taking their quiz on Monday, Sept. 22. All students have a study guide for this quiz.
7th U.S. History
