U.S. History
The journals are due Thursday, February 26. The students have worked the last 3 weeks on journals dealing with the westward movement to Oregon & the California Gold Rush.
Next week we should begin covering the tensions between the North & South and the Presidential election of 1860.

Geography
The students just finished covering a section on landforms and giving examples of them. They also just completed graphing 3 climographs, where the precipitation & temperature of a place are on the same graph.
This week we will cover the section in the book dealing with climates and how they affect people. We will also cover the section in the book dealing with culture and population patterns.
